No relation whatsoever to the Hank Williams clan, San Francisco quintet Hank IV's hard-charging and visceral dual-guitar rock punk has been likened to "Crime meets Viletones meets Styrenes" (Z-Gun Magazine) and described by WFMU's DJ Terre T as "a sick combination of Volcano Suns, Blue Cheer and Chain Gang!"
Hank IV just finished recording their third full-length LP which will be released this fall on Siltbreeze, and features prominently in the recently released Gonerfest 4 DVD from Goner Records in Memphis. Their past two albums, Refuge in Genre (Siltbreeze) and Third Person Shooter (Hook or Crook) charted on such stations as KUSF, KDVS, and WFMU.
