No relation whatsoever to the Hank Williams clan, San Francisco quintet Hank IV's hard-charging and visceral dual-guitar rock punk has been likened to "Crime meets Viletones meets Styrenes punk" (Z-Gun Magazine) and by WFMU's DJ Terre T as "a sick combination of Volcano Suns and Blue Cheer and Chain Gang!"
Hank IV's new record, Refuge in Genre, is being released by Siltbreeze on October 14th, 2008.
Hank IV has been invited by Mission of Burma to open their three California shows in late September (9/25 at the Echoplex in LA, 9/26 and 9/27 at The Independent, SF). Hank IV's record release party is taking place on October 11th at Bottom of the Hill (SF) with original lineup Killdozer and then the band will be heading to the east coast for dates with Los Llamarada in mid-November.
